Uniq Swiss Bearings: New Release from Doug Glass
Doug Glass, the designer behind the Verducci, Luigino, Atom and Mota skate lines, has released a new product: Uniq Swiss Bearings for inline speed skates. This new offering expands his Uniq product line, which already includes the Q8 inline speed skate.
The Uniq Swiss Bearings feature precision steel balls and specially designed races for smooth rolling. These bearings incorporate deeper grooves engineered specifically for skating applications. They come with nylon retainers and include non-contact rubber shields on one side, providing a balance between protection and maintenance accessibility.
Each set includes 16 bearings, sufficient for a complete set of inline or quad skates. The single-sided shield design allows skaters to perform regular maintenance by accessing the internal components without specialized tools.
Compatibility
The Uniq Swiss Bearings are designed to fit standard inline and quad skate wheels, making them compatible with Glass's Uniq skate line as well as other brands. They represent an upgrade option for existing skates, including those from Glass's previously designed lines.
The bearings are currently available directly from Nett Racing. They join the Uniq Q8 inline speed skate in Glass's current product lineup, offering skaters another component option from this established equipment designer.
